Lexington Singers Children's Choir Auditions

LSCC Auditions are private and last about ten minutes per student. During the audition, the student will be asked to perform a short song followed by selected vocal exercises. Please select a song from folk music, hymns, classical, or a foreign language (auditionees are strongly encouraged not to perform pop songs for auditions). Older students will complete a short theory worksheet and those auditioning for Chamber Choir will perform a sight reading exercise.

Here is some important information regarding membership in the Lexington Singers Children's Choirs:
- Rehearsals are held on Tuesday afternoons at 4:30pm (ending times are different depending on the choir). The location will be announced to participating families at the beginning of the season.
- For the Spring 2026 season, rehearsals will start on Tuesday, January 13th. No rehearsals are held during Fayette County School breaks, including school days that are cancelled due to inclement weather.
- All choirs participate together in LSCC concerts in November and May. Each choir may have additional performances throughout the year. A full calendar will be provided to participating families at the beginning of the season.
- Tuition ranges from $185-$220 per semester depending on the choir. Some scholarships are available for participants with financial needs.
