Home for the Holidays
Our 2020 Winter Concert
'Twas December 2020, and all through the town
Not a creature was stirring; they were all on lockdown! People gave one another the kindest of care In hopes that a happier time soon would be there. Kentuckians looked online for presents to send But felt sad about missing their families and friends, And day after day, many folks shed a tear To think fun and excitement must wait for next year. |
But the Lexington Singers soon heard their call,
And planned a free concert to bring cheer to all! No need to go out. Snuggle in for the night With a blanket and cocoa, perhaps firelight. And join us for holiday music most festive To help you feel joyous and somewhat less restive! No dealing with traffic or parking or snow: Just join us online! (The links are below.) |
To celebrate the winter season, the Lexington Singers will present a streaming concert on Friday, December 18th, at 7:30pm!
The Lexington Singers, Lexington Singers Children's Choirs, and the Lexington Ringers combine to perform "Home for the Holidays," featuring original musical settings of carols by Dr. Johnie Dean, traditional selections from Messiah, a John Rutter carol by our in-person rehearsal choir, songs from the Lexington Ringers handbell ensemble, and many other holiday favorites!
