Daniel Wesley
LSCC Artistic Director, Conductor of the LSCC Chamber Choir
Daniel Wesley was named Artistic Director of the Lexington Singers Children’s Choir in 2023. Prior to his appointment, he served as the LSCC Advanced Choir Director for eleven years. Mr. Wesley is also the Fine Arts Chair at Lexington Christian Academy and Minister of Music at the historic Lexington Avenue Baptist Church in Danville.
Choirs under Mr. Wesley’s direction have toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe. Most recently, he has led performances in Italy, Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Wales, Ireland, England, Israel, and New York. His ensembles have performed by invitation at five conferences of the Kentucky Music Educators Association and in three solo engagements at Carnegie Hall.
Mr. Wesley has conducted honor choirs, adjudicated choral festivals, and presented clinics at school and church music conferences throughout the country. Mr. Wesley is a two-time recipient of the Ruth Coppler Outstanding Teacher Award. He holds degrees in Music Education from the University of Kentucky and Campbellsville University, where he received the Outstanding Graduate Student Award for his research on choral formation. Mr. Wesley and his wife reside in Lexington with their three children.
