FAQs

What fees are involved?
  • There are no fees for participants.  The camp is a free service that the Lexington Singers organization offers to the community to keep kids involved in the arts through the summer and potentially join LSCC in the future (although there is absolutely no obligation to do so).
​Where is the camp located?
  • Lexington Christian Academy - 450 W. Reynolds Rd.  The camp is not affiliated with the school and there will be no religious content.  The school is kindly offering their facility for our use.
What is the schedule like each day?
  • Our schedule changes each day as we rotate through different learning areas.  They will have choral rehearsals, music theory and literacy, music games and hands-on activities, and a snack break each day.  There will be an elementary track and a middle school track.  A few activities and rehearsals will be combined, but the students will be mostly separated.
Who will lead the classes?
  • Our talented LSCC staff - Daniel Wesley, Taylor Strickland, Amy Black & Deb Sogin, with assistance from some experienced interns from the University of Kentucky.  A few high schoolers from our LSCC Chamber Choir will also help out throughout the week.
